How to embrace each day as it comes

It's a Saturday morning and it's pretty gloomy outside. I was hoping for brighter weather, but the sky just doesn't seem to want to smile. I brought the light into my life by making a vibrant breakfast, despite the outdoors being gloomy.
This concept brings me to the other meaning of my blog, "Season of Vegan." If we only embrace the seasons that give off light and beauty, we cannot fully experience all the different types of weather within each season. When it gets dark and rainy out, I will admit - I get a little sad. I thrive under sun light and warmth. I've always said to myself that I belong in the tropics!
There is always something to enjoy about each season, even during the cold and dark months. I've always really had an aversion to winter because I never liked the cold. Luckily for me, it's currently the end of the spring, nearing the beginning of summer.
Are you looking for a way to embrace each day? I do not have any specific method for going about this, however I do know what NOT to do. Do not say to yourself, "Oh man, I can't wait until the weekend!" or "I can't wait until this day is over!" When you do that, you are resigning yourself to something less than your potential. If you embrace each day as it comes, even with the difficulties, you will lead a much more fulfilled life. But HOW do I embrace the difficulties, you are probably wondering?
The trick is to muddle through the discomfort; but cherish the happy moments - as cliche as that may sound. I've found this to help me immensely. I always just "muddle my way through" the more unpleasant things in life that are really just thrown at you. I'm not perfect at doing this, I still sometimes want to surrender and give up, but if you keep muddling through the situation, you will always come out on the other side, wiser. I'm not just "muddling through life." I guess you could say that I'm a "selective muddler," haha. I only muddle through the things that I know I cannot handle at the moment.
How does one apply "muddling through" to embracing each day as it comes? It's a side by side process. You can't muddle successfully without the embracing of life on the other side of the spectrum. Muddle through what you must muddle through, but always, and I mean always - have something positive in your life that you can always look forward to. It can change day to day, but always be sure to have that thing. It can be a tiny thing/thought/feeling/action/etc. As long as it's healthy and serves you well long term AND short term, it is a good bet.
Always be sure to very carefully balance the "muddling through situations" method with a lot of joy and bliss in your everyday life. If the bliss isn't already there, you have to create it. Refer to the previous paragraph (specifically the last 4 sentences) if you need to be refreshed on how to create bliss and embrace your life as it comes.
I wish you abundant bliss on your forever evolving journey!

  1. I'm jealous of your weather! Here it's sunny everyday and I HATE sunny days. The sun sucks the life out of me and I get super moody. (Also, we reach 40 degrees celsius daily, so it's definitely unbearable to go out.) I think it's quite curious too how some dislike a particular weather while that'd be heaven to someone else. It's somehow just perspective, it doesn't mean it's bad.

Weather aside, I wish you lots of luck with your new blog and may you enjoy posting in here. It's definitely a fun way to share your thoughts!
And well, enjoy your day! ;D

    1. Thank you! Haha I love the sun for some reason. It actually got really nice out later in the day and I went strawberry picking, which was great! I got some HUGE ones and they were so incredibly sweet! I do like rainy days sometimes though because it's fun to feel all cozy and stuff :)
      Thanks so much!
